Back to Legal Center
v1.0 Effective Apr 17, 2026 Required for account access /legal/content-rights-policy/

1. Responsibility for Rights

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that every upload, metadata submission, contributor credit, split allocation, artwork file, audio file, and distribution instruction is supported by valid rights, permissions, and authority.

2. No Independent Verification

Intentribution may run operational validations, metadata checks, and workflow reviews, but those checks do not constitute legal verification of ownership, clearance, or enforceability. Users remain fully responsible for the legal sufficiency of all rights claims.

3. Required Authority

Before submitting content, you must have all necessary master rights, publishing rights, neighboring rights authority, sample clearances, artwork rights, name and likeness permissions, and contributor approvals required for the uses you request.

4. Metadata Accuracy

All metadata must be accurate, complete, and truthful, including artist names, featured artists, songwriters, producers, contributors, ownership percentages, identifiers, release dates, territories, and monetization instructions.

5. Prohibited Content

  • Stolen, pirated, or re-uploaded commercial releases.
  • Uncleared samples, interpolations, or derivative works without permission.
  • Impersonation content, including AI-generated content that falsely suggests affiliation with another artist or rights holder.
  • Content submitted by a party without authority to bind all relevant contributors or rights holders.

6. Multi-Party Ownership

Where multiple parties have rights in a work or sound recording, users must obtain appropriate authority from all relevant parties and must enter splits and contributor records accurately. Rights disputes may result in content removal, delivery suspension, payout withholding, account restrictions, or permanent account termination.

7. Takedowns and Disputes

We may remove or disable content immediately upon receiving a facially credible rights complaint or upon discovering evidence of unauthorized use. We may require documentation, hold distributions, preserve logs, and cooperate with affected parties or authorities.

8. Enforcement

Violations may result in warning, rejection, takedown, suspension, termination, forfeiture of access to delivery features, and legal escalation where appropriate.
